We're a three-member, seven-instrument band (3 guitars, mandolin, banjo, bass and harmonica), and our music is a combination of tasty bluegrass and contemporary folk/country-rock. Our sound is acoustic, with emphasis on tight harmonies, clean picking, and friendly audience interaction. It's all dynamic, good-feeling, music that appeals to a wide age range.

His name means music.
His love and appreciation of music were inspired by his Big Band-leader father. He learned early in life how to make beautiful music, exciting rhythms, and melodies to lift the spirit and get the toes tapping. And he learned that he was happy when he was using his talents to make others happy. All that he learned, Rob Massengale incorporated into his own musical enterprise.

Born in Virginia and raised in the Carolinas, this girl knows her music. From her upbringing, she discovered artists such as Faith Hill, Leann Rimes, Patsy Cline, and Shania Twain, all of whom shared a lifelong dream of being a country-recording artist. Katelyn also realized her commercial potential in August of 2008, when at the age of 19 she auditioned for American Idol in Jacksonville, Florida. When asked by Simon why she should be the next American Idol, Katelyn’s response was “My goal is to not only be a recording artist, but be a role model to those around me. I want to touch people’s lives with my music.”
Katelyn has since polished her skills as a country singer/songwriter and has been increasing her fan base and maintaining her presence in the Carolinas.

After studying at Boston's prestigious Berklee School of Music, playing with jazz greats and acting as musical director at the National Black Theatre Festival, Joe has become one of the region's most talented jazz musicians. He's considered a musical pioneer, a man who has kept jazz vibrant in the Twin City. “We play straight ahead jazz.”

SalemSpeaks has been making music together for over a year: winner of the "Rock the Block" band competition, "Carolina" CD release, and multiple shows. The band has developed a loyal following. The band continues to expand the music library and currently has a dozen new songs that are unrecorded. The new songs add to the live shows and provide a glimpse into the growth of the band and their music. This is the beginning and the future is bright.
